Carefully, she pulled aside her dress. With the index finger on her left hand, she dug the nail into her skin, pulling it aside like one might pull aside a curtain, reached in, and removed her heart. She bared the pulsating organ like some pretty trinket. It shone with the life fibers that it was built of.
“Isn’t it nice?” She said, letting it snap back into her chest, “You ought to show me yours. I bet it’s just as pretty."

It was sickening, sickening, everything was so sickening. Ragyo had viewed herself as repulsive, but she didn’t want to be reminded of the fact that she wasn’t human to begin with. She gritted her teeth, looking at her double as she placed a hand at her own chest.
